What Photography means to me!

I have already read the article for this class in my first class, but I will talk a little bit about why photography means so much to me. It means a lot to me because it represents a lot more than just a picture which a lot of people don't always see. There was a long phrase in the article, and it really made me think about why photography means so much to me. That quote went like this " Photographs don't only show us things, they do things. They engage us optically, neurologically, intellectually, emotionally, viscerally, and physically". This is something that people don't always understand. When you take a picture why should you take a picture? You should take a picture to make memories and have a good time with those pictures. That's why I love photography because it gives me the chance to take those pictures and make great memories with them which eventually brings the emotions along with the pictures. That's why it is so important to me, and it always will be.

Where do I look for when I seek any kind of motivation and who inspires me? When I really need to look for some kind of motivation I look to my friends. I look to my friends because they always are having a good time which creates a lot of fun memories. So, when I need to do something with pictures, I make sure that I do it with my friends. If I do not use my friends for pictures, I find it very hard to find the motivation to take a good picture, so when I get around them for me to take a picture is so easy.  Who inspires me to do photography and succeed in it? There is a girl back home and her name is Mrs. Desera. She has been doing a lot of photography ever since she got out of high school and a lot of her pictures have been very good. She took all of my senior pictures, and I didn't have one complaint. She put a lot of time into taking the pictures and even more time making the pictures look really good. When she took a picture, she put herself in the place of that person making the picture setup perfect. She has such a passion for what she does. I hope to have that kind of passion as long as I am in the class for the rest of the semester.

Without photography, the world wouldn't be as much fun as it is. I say this because as I have mentioned before without pictures memories are hard to come by and they are a little harder to remember at least for me. Every day I look back at all the photos that I have taken. Sometimes I do this for a laugh and other times I do it just to think about the good times back in high school with some of my best friends who I don't get to see much anymore and that's why photography is so important and ironic in today's world.
